John D, didn't you delete all your posts? And get some crap thrown in your direction for that in particular?

I did. I'm not too bothered by that. We all know what kind of creatures throw crap.

OK, I'm begging. I want input. As the potential first twice-banned, John D, would you do it again? I wanna, and I don't wanna. I could go back, under the right circumstances. I wanna flame out. I don't want to give some people the satisfaction of seeing me self-destruct. I'm Dithering here. I need help.

Hmmm... well, I'm not saying I want to go out of my way to be banned again. I do, however, think there's merit in staying on top of people who are assclowns when they do something particularly ass-clowny, even if I risk being banned for it. The more ordinary people see how unhinged people like Heph and RB can get, the more opinion will shift away from them and the more people will wonder why they seem to be constantly fighting yet never face any consequences for it.

I guess what I'm saying is, I don't want to be banned again. I didn't want to be the first time. But I'm fed up enough that I don't care if, in the course of being right, somebody calls me wrong and bans me.

ETA: You okay, eph?

ephemeral - Get up from the computer, right now, go pour yourself a huge glass of water, and drink it.

It may not seem important now, but it will be in the morning.

Hey, eph. Well, hell, it's Friday night. But, you OK?

OK, here's my thing: I put a lot into EM. So did lots of people, I'm not claiming anything that lots of others couldn't. I guess what it boils down to is that in the short period that EM flourished I felt myself to be a part of it.

(And considering the lifespans of EM and babble, I have a whole new understanding and respect for what the early and consistent babblers felt when babble blew up. And, again, given that, what early and consistent EMers/former babblers felt. . . .)

I don't want to give up the field. If we let them. . . (Oh, gwad, am I going to channel G.Bush?) the terrists will win. . .

Hell. I dunno.

Yes, I do. I don't live in the GTA anymore, but when I did the Go trains were indispensible.

Did you enjoy your water? If you have fruit juice, that'd work too.

one glass of water for every glass of that wine you drank, and if you have a banana, eat it.

I haven't decided yet, Fern.  There is a part of me that spitefully wants to edit all of my FF posts to say something about how much I object to the idea that there is a "Feminism Forum" on that board, and then part of me just says, "fuck it."

I wonder if I will get pre-emptively banned for having this conversation here.

I also wonder how fast I can cut and paste the same message into former posts, to see how many of them I can edit before being banned.

And then there is this part of me that says, "save it until you have come up with an appropriately large evil." <-  This is the part of me that inevitably ensures things go down in a giant ball of fire.  It's the part that says things like, "I can replace you in fifteen minutes," to men as we are breaking up.

It's a very bad part that needs a muzzle.

We've all seen your pictures... you really could replace them in fifteen minutes, I'll bet.

I don't want to give up the field either. I've given some thought to "constitutional" style protests, such as trying to get a clause added to the AUP explicitly stating that antagonism to feminism is not permitted on the board. But I'm really not sure what I want to do at the moment.

Hmm.  Well, not really sure if it is true or not.

What I do know is that it has never been a good idea to suggest this, let alone out and out say it.
