Ooh! All this talk of animal fat. It's luring me away from enlightened food. Do I love duck confit or what. Yum yum yum.

It has been so long since I had a sausage, too. Back in the days of the old Grocery Gateway, they were selling these quite marvellously spiced chicken sausages, which I often got for my spicey stir-fry (over rice noodles), but the new GG (bought by Longo's, grr) doesn't have anything like that, nor does the local war-communism Loblaw's.

But now I want a sausage anyway.

Oh, that sounds like the notorious "Soviet" Provigo, in western NDG... The only supermarket in that neighbourhood, which included a large number of seniors surviving on pensions in veterans' housing, and sold little nutritious food.  :rant

My favourite poultry sausages here are made by Zinman's, an old Polish-Jewish poutry market since taken over by a Portuguese family. They even make chicken and turkey chorizo!  8)

Duck fat is supposed to be much more healthful than other animal fats...
