Hey chester  :)

I'm going to be in Saskatoon this weekend, I'll have to look around for a copy.

This looks to be very well done, an attempt to reconceive women's magazines, which, God knows, needs doing.

Westerners seem to be especially good at these experiments lately. I was so entertained by the first news I heard about geez, eg, that I subscribed. And it is a trip.

The other magazine i saw in the library today was Canadian Dimension, from winnipeg. http://www.canadiandimension.com/ it calls itself  a 'a forum for debate on important issues that face the Canadian Left today".  now i hadn't seen it and assumed it was new but when i googled it the google piece said it has been published since 1963! that one's for tommorow at noon.

Cahoots is pretty good.  I know a couple of the women involved with it.  And, one of these days I'm going to remember to send a couple of pieces their way...

Canadian Dimension was a phenom during my undergrad days, which began at just the same time. Is Cy Gonick still the editor?

During those years, Canadian Forum (1920-2000) was sort of the politer older brother of Dimension.  The Forum was also nationalist and at some periods more left than at others, but it was more of an essayist's medium, less a political activist's one. Many of the mid-century Forum crew were also part of the League for Social Reconstruction. Michiel Horn's book on the LSR is great.
