Anonymous says it has the names of all four boys and their locations, but says they will not release the names out of respect for Leah Parsons, who told the media she did not want people to go after the alleged perpetrators.
“At this time we can honestly say we’re confident we know the identities of the people involved in Rehtaeh’s rape. It would probably take us a lot longer to come up with a list of the people responsible for her death. We hope you all find some way to sleep at night,” it said. -snip-

Anonymous slammed the justice minister’s turnabout as “an act of public relations damage-control.”
“You should be really ashamed of yourself. In contrast to your statements your actions are not genuine and your patronizing attention is unappreciated. Ross, you have zero class,” it said. -snip-

And apparently top cop Paulson is working with Anon, altho not public knowledge as of yet. As for the 'fresh' evidence not from online so say rcmp, I'll believe it when I see it. ETA - Now it's public knowledge - "The person providing the information is willing to verify who they are, the reason they're providing it and is willing to work with police," the release stated.

That sounds like the boy who spoke to Rehtaeh's mom who is one of the alleged rapists and showed her the pic. that was distributed.

"I think that is great that the RCMP is reopening the case. However, if we don't want this to happen again -- if we want real justice -- we need to find out why the RCMP did not lay charges in the first place," Bain said in a press release.

Exactly and it better not turn out one of the boys is 'connected' in some way.

RCMP Commissioner Bob Paulson said earlier in the day the RCMP would be open to working with online hacker group Anonymous, but "they've got to take their masks off, sadly."

Paulson, who was at an RCMP event in Calgary, said he thinks people like those involved in Anonymous, in some circumstances, present themselves as civic-minded.
"But in another case they don't, and they don't have the same stringent review of evidence and concern for truth that we have developed in our efforts."
