We're not even part of the EU. Was this what they agreed to in the last G20 meeting, if things get so desperate? And is Canada going to 'borrow' the money? Why announce this a couple of days before Xmas? There are already rumours to the south of us that a bank holiday could be declared in the first quarter, after everyone has spent money on useless junk for Xmas. Good Lord, there are no details and no one from F's dept. are answering reporters questions about it.

More deficit spending is what it amounts to. Until the national (accumulated) debt is paid off, as well as the yearly debt, spending like this is just nuts. I remember in the old days Conservatives frowned upon deficit spending. He should be taxing the most profitable corporations (oil and gas sector and the banks) to the hilt.

Thought I'd check when Bank of Canada made this decision. Altho we were notified in December, the decision was made Nov. 30th. All agreed by the central banks and the fed. Simply put, the Fed trades or swaps dollars for euros and has gone basically unnoticed. http://www.bankofcanada.ca/2011/11/notices/coordinated-central-bank-action/


Remember when Bernanke said no money from the fed and Flaherty said no money from taxpayers?

Where the fuck is the outrage? Big Banks are nothing but Criminal Enterprises. No wonder the war on drugs never ends, its just too profitable! Most Canadians don't even know anything about the Bailout we gave to our Banks, how much risk the CMHC placed on taxpayers  w/o telling us and according to some we still don't know half the story because the Bank of Canada refuses to release details. Some also say the taxpayer was not paid back. And why did RBC raise their interest rate this spring following the Federal Reserve when the Bank of Canada did not?
So many questions re: our own bank systems, meantime I find it strangely odd that Canadians have become stupid, complacent sheep and then complain about getting shafted.

On CNN tonight I was watching Ben Bernake say he's not giving out any more candy,  and also that unemployment in the USA will stay above 8% for the foreseeable future. A lot of unhappy faces in that room.

Well, well, well. Looks like the bastion of the biggest bankster frauds in the UK are pissed with Canada's Competition Bureau looking into the Libor scandal. “invasion of the sovereignty of the United Kingdom.” HA! Read the comments, most excellent. The biggest heist in history, all come tumbling down. I guess Sir Mervyn Allister King, the Governor of the Bank of England and Chairman of the Monetary Policy Committee will be getting his pink slip. And Bernanke, wow, so la-dee-dah about it. I hope Davey Cameroon won't be too shocked when he gets his comeuppance.
