Hello. My  name is Boom Boom and I'm an incorrigible drifter.

Hello. My  name is Croghan and I'm an incorrigible drifter.

Bonjour.  My name is deBeauxOs and I've been known to drift but I also know when to stop.   :annoyed:

I'm starting this thread for Boom Boom and Croghan.  Consider this intervention to be gentle and considerate.  Don't make me hurt you.

Just so they'll find it comfy and welcoming, I will furnish it with their most recent transgressions, err .... diversionary posts.

... brebis - Don't know about shaving, but I have had mine burned off in several industrial accidents .... twice by heat and once by chemicals. They did come back, but in a different colour. Out with the red, in with the white.

I had my eyebrows burned off in a household accident (something to do with lighting a gast stove...) and they mercifully did grow back.

Same colour? A doctor I spoke to said that the colour change is ...... 'not unheard of' - espceially with people past 'a certain age."

... deBeauxOs (hi, doll!) wants us to continue in the pub, but very quickly I'll reply that they grew back same colour - a reddish hue. My hair colour looks reddish brown in bright light. My eye colour is hazel. I'm not Irish, rather my ancestors are Scots Presbyterian/French Protestant (Huguenot). This combination leads to:  :wigout:

deBeauxOs, this is unfair. Croghan and Boom Boom are no worse than others here. Drift is what BnRers do.

Are you setting non-drift standards higher for these two coz they are gyus? Isn't that a tad sexist? Hmmmmmm?

Boom Boom, next time you feel the urge to drift, you'll know where to go. Here.
In my defence, I stayed out of the pub because last time I was in one, a barroom brawl ensued. Wasn't my fault. I've been on the wagon for quite a while now. :whis:

That's no defense.

Boom Boom, are you being provocative?

Bad, Bad Boom Boom.

Furthermore, dBO is guilty of thread proliferation. There is a perfectly good drift thread already.

Yabbut fern hill, that one was started by Mandos and the subtext is ...., well you know, about mating aliens.

This one is dedicated to our worst, ummm, best drifters on the board.

Yabbut, dBO, I still contend that putting it in The Pub is sexist.

Why?  Are Boom Boom and Croghan not MEN?  and proud of it too.  That quality of gyuhood transpires, err .... sweats from every one of their drifts.

well, deBeauxOs, There Goes Us, Baby. I can see in This Magic Moment, it is fern hill that will Stand By Me..

But that's okay ... somewhere, no doubt just outside Spanish Harlem, Boom Boom and I will crawl out from Under The Boardwalk, make it to Up On The Roof, and then On Broadway, You'll be wishin you let us be Drifters around your thread .....

I'm off to the Legion in a couple of minutes, but you'll be eatin yer heart out that we didn't all spend Saturday Night At The Movies

Speaking of Genes .... I always like Gene Pitney.

His Town Without Pity was sort of blah .. but "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence' is a terrific piece of music - well written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David, (who else   ) and the best thing out of movies since High Noon. (Here done by Frankie Lane, but in the film by 'Tex' Rritter'.)

* from corporate games, the song never appeared in the film.
