Kitty! Chin up!

We knew this would happen, or something like it.

They are circling the wagons. They had to shut him up, and this was the only way to do it. They are desperate, Kitty.

Think of it that way. This is all ... well, it's predictable, anyway, if not exactly good news.

It's a grand game, Kitty. This is 'way more complicated than Watergate. Chuck and Jim and Pat know what they're doing, Kitty. You know that.

Keep the faith, chick.

Oh, and note also: this has been building over time, and will depend on the fight over all those White House documents, but ...

If Bush can be linked in any way to Cheney's plot against Plame -- and we think he probably can be -- then by commuting Scooter's sentence, he has just become guilty of obstruction of justice.

I honestly think that Marcy Wheeler is going to drag Congress into convicting both of the bastards.

Here's hoping, eh?

We need more Sen. Leahys ;)

Fitz probably predicted something like this, no? I wonder what he has up his (summer-suit) sleeves.  He must have something cooking.

You know, I hear that he's awfully smart ;)

I heard he was kinda bashful.

Have you see this, Kitty?

Can you figure out what he means when he says, twice, something like "hit to leap"? Is that something that people do on cellphones? The kids in the audience seem to get it, anyway.

That's his old school, just a couple of weeks ago, I think.

Damn. The Awwww factor is just so high.

"Do your best." I think I've heard him say that at least once in every public statement he has ever made. I'm sure that is his mum.

Do your best, li'l Patrick. Do your best.  :applause:

Could it be "hit delete?"

My heart rate went up by at least 40 bpm when I read this. So...NO! I most definitely had NOT seen this before you posted the link.  :sweating:

I had to watch it twice to figure this out ;)

He's saying "hit 'delete'" (as in, the DEL key or 'Delete' button in his email).

More importantly: this man set a "Google Alert" for his own name.  For those who didn't watch the video, Fitz was telling the young gyu in the audience about an email/Google Alert notifying him of a news article/column entitled "Fitzgerald is a thug," and how he considered that a ...non-constructive...comment on his professional behaviour. So, he "hit delete."

I'm still recovering. I'm shocked that he's "come out" in 3D land.  I know it's not exactly True Confessions, but it's the most we've had to work with since the Oct 2005 indictment.
 :sweating:

Kitty's just been informed that she has a goofy grin on her face.  Nobody say nothin', ya hear? :spy:

OMG. How sensible, Holly Stick.

Fitz has got this incredible Flatbush/Brooklyn accent, and he talks really fast, really tough-guy street-wise.

It's funny, because his good friend Mr Comey has this wonderfully musical voice and accent, utterly different from Fitz's machine-gun delivery.

I need to clean the cat boxes, don't I.

Fitz's delivery is a dead give-away for nerdly bashfulness...trust me ;)  He's got lots & lots to say, but he'd really like to get it over with in a big hurry so y'all can stop looking at him

Och, Holly and Kitty: we're all cross-posting. The guy really arouses the maternal instincts or something. What a dear.

I'm sure he's having an interesting night tonight, but I'll bet he keeps his counsel for the time being. He is so good at doing No comment. I wish I could do that.

Crooks & Liars has Joe Wilson's response (video/audio) and Fitz's written reaction.

Well Boom Boom was watching Michelle and suddenly had to go.

Gorgeous Bones suggested a shower, perhaps that is wise advice for all.

I'm gonna take it, except the showerhead blew off! So I'm gonna sneak upstairs to the empty apt and use it. Yeah  :sweating: and that is Not a hot flash.

And this is a story about stopping fascism. Maybe you're too sophisticated to take that seriously, but I'm not.

WOW

BTW, I was very confused about what this argument was about. The Cindy Sheehan argument (Republicans=Dems) really threw me off though--I couldn't grok how that fit in with the Libby case.

I got the sense that you two were talking about two diffr'nt thingies, but perhaps I'm being my usual obtuse self

anyhoo...just wanted to make sure Crog didn't think he was being accused of rolling his eyes at fascism. I know that's not what was meant by that, but I got the impression that Crog might've taken it that way (by the "WOW").

I get frustrated about all of the public & press dismissals of the Libby case too. It's not just Republican goons, either. So-called 'liberal' blogger Ana Marie Cox waves her hands and giggles, "So what...it's all politics" Grrrr!  (BTW, I think that one's auditioning for Maureen Dowd's column)

I've had to defend my interest in this case to Mr. Kitty about 12 times since 2003.  Sometimes he just sighs and says:
"Jesus, they're all criminals...why aren't the whole lot of them in jail?"
(he seriously can't take hearing about any of it anymore)

Sorry...I meant to say all that earlier, but I got...er...distracted :sweating:

Not to knock Mr Kitty, and I certainly have places where I just throw up my hands in despair too, but despair isn't very useful. Saying that it's all just shit relieves you of the responsibility of any further thinking about it - no nuance is possible.

What an interesting country - Paris Hilton does more time than Libby.

Couldn't agree more!  I confess, however, that I'm often like Mr. Kitty viz quotidian party politics type-stuff. I'm not defending that at all: Lots of people  are very involved, active & interested in political parties and I respect that too. Especially people who actually put in the hard shoe-leather required to work for a candidate they're passionate about. That takes courage.

Ok, I'm a-driftin' here. And a-ramblin'.  Must be bedtime
