Peter Lougheed has died. He was a statesman, not just a politician.

I just read a comment (somewhere) saying Lougheed was a Dipper in comparison to the Con crew now. I think a lot of people in Alberta and elsewhere are giving a hard think about men like Lougheed who added respect to politics and to Canada's reputation.

He wasn't perfect, and I criticized him for various things when he was premier, but he was a better man than the crawlers we have in office now. Larry Hagman, 'Dallas' star, dies

Larry Hagman, the actor best known as the ruthless oilman J.R. Ewing on TV’s Dallas, died Friday afternoon. He was 81.

Members of his family said Hagman died of complications stemming from his recent battle with cancer.

I didn't watch Dallas. I remember him playing opposite Barbara Eden in I Dream of Jeannie.

He was a pretty good villain in Dallas: remember "Who shot JR?" Actually I've forgotten now who did shoot him, some woman I think. But JR survived to keep on cheating in business and seducing his wife who should have known better, and other women.


And they are shooting the second season of the new Dallas, which he was on; I haven't seen it.

Jack Klugman Dead: 'The Odd Couple' Actor Dies At 90

Jack Klugman, star of the much-beloved sitcom 'The Odd Couple', has died, his attorney told KTRK.
He was 90.
Klugman's son Adam confirmed the report to the AP.
According to his attorney, he died peacefully at his home in California. He is survived by his wife Peggy, two sons and two grandchildren.
