Having read this I thought we could use a dumb ass thread for things that don't deserve their own thread but have made you hurt your eyes reading.

Apparently she doesn't have to worry about that "16 IQ points / 40% less chance of marriage" issue.

She tried the serious artiste "folklorico" trip last CD out and it was commercially disappointing (relatively speaking).  Apparently she's going to flog her new incarnation by performing on Canadian Idol next week.

Well I guess she felt it would be hard to 'stay' a feminist while promoting a hip hop album done with a guy in which the main song is "promiscuous?

Trying to get a new audience for whom feminism is a bad word??  :shock:

 Oh dear.  That was only her faux-grungy bed-head look phase.  She now has a new 'do.  And on balance, Alanis never denounced feminism to make herself more girlie or to flog more CDs.

That's dumb.  But getting back to Nelly Furtado and her whole thing about feminists hating men.  I have proof that feminists are compassionate, caring and tolerant people.  The proof?   Well, this is largely a feminist board.  If feminists hate men, it would naturally follow that "they" would especially hate me.  Yet I have lasted far longer on BreadnRoses than I ever did on EnMasse.  And, aside from my initial run on Rabble (April 2004 - December 2004 -- they banned me right before Christmas!!!) I have lasted far longer here than on Rabble.  So clearly, feminists aren't as bad as they're cracked up to be by Nelly Furtado.
