Code-breaking and critical literacy
« Reply #15 on: May 04, 2010, 01:32:13 PM »
An article about multiple literacies sparked a creative outburst that has resulted in wall-sized graphic organizers re: digital, textual, cultural, and media literacies.  Also a chart for tracking these literacy accomplishments by students.  This sparked a desire to create similar chart to compare learning styles.

I think assessing learning styles has got to help both student and teacher in adequate instruction and learning.  These endeavours will, I am convinced, draw towards me that fulfilling and well-paying teaching job.  That one there, in the future!

Here is a YouTube about an on line school. Google has just given them $2,000,000 for their works. It is available on line and without charge.

The Khan Academy.

This may be the future of literacy and teaching.
