See, there's the different brains. pogge's brain works like yours; mine does not. When I've said to him that I'm stupid, he says no, you're just afraid to click on anything you don't recognize, which is the truth.

You know you've been coding too much when you slap a semi-colon on the end of everything;

Except when you're trying to teach ML to undergraduates, and they reflexively put a semicolon on the end of everything, not realizing that it means exactly the opposite in ML of what it means in Java/C/etc: "I'm not actually done yet; ignore what I just did."

Not that I have any experience in this, oh no.

Syntax nazi: it's not clear to me which of ML or Java/C/etc the sentence following the colon applies to.

Debra, or anyone, next stupid question, and this one really is: I don't have an Edit/Copy/Paste function up top on TweetDeck (that I see). I know how to insert from keyboard (Shift-Insert) but I have never learned to copy. *blush*

How do I? Otherwise, I'm stuck with the auto-RTs.

Also, where is list of my RTs RTd?

Mac users should avert their eyes!

Cut (but copy to clipboard): Highlight and press Shift-Delete
Copy: Highlight and press Ctrl-Insert
Paste: Shift-Insert

Alternative:

Cut (but copy to clipboard): Highlight and press Ctrl-x
Copy: Highlight and press Ctrl-v
Paste: Ctrl-c

That's mentions, which I already have. As you know, there are two ways to RT, and on OT and NT, those two were listed in different places, the manual ones and the autos. The manual ones come through on mentions, which I've had from the start. Maybe the autos are coming through too, although I liked being able to see them listed with all the repeats -- it wasn't often that any of my tweets got multiple autoRTs but it happens, and I like to see that list -- I've picked up people that way. ;)

skdadl, remember your name being tweeted a lot last November?  Maybe it was an automated sock puppet:

Thanks Debra, I'm glad to know that.

Back in early November, skdadl, we also talked about the chatbot that would automatically give responses to AGW denier arguments.  I never got a response to my email:
