The Gulf is cold.  I will be freezing my balls off this time next week, God willing.

Anyone know exactly what kind of vulture this is that showed up at my place last winter?

You didn't make me feel that way. I had sort of picked up on it before but it slipped my mind.

I'd been looking at Boom Boom's name for at least a year when the penny suddenly dropped. What a naughty fellow he is.

Debra, I seriously doubt it, unless it was blown WAY off course. Check out a black vulture range map. They don't normally get above the Mason-Dixon line (Maryland-Penn boarder), let alone north of the US-Canadian boarder.

It's probably just a yearling juvenile turkey vulture, which lack the adult distinctive red head.

Well that is entirely possible, and was my first thought, though it doesn't in the picture look anything like any pictures of juvenile T Vs I found.

The Oil Drum post I linked to down thread is examined in detail in this  response.

In addition, it turns out the original post first appeared on a UFO blog.

Not that that means aliens are not responsible for the blow-out, mind.

This is srsly disturbing and should scare the helluva out of everyone if it turns out it is Corexit doing the damage.
BP oil spill Corexit dispersants suspected in widespread crop damage
Scroll down to video, the organic farm lady even shows us the dead birds in their birdhouses. If this stuff can kill crops and birds, what about pets and wee chillens.

I know, it's really hard. There is another video (don't watch if you can't) showing pods of dying dolphins, but the most awful pic I've ever seen is a big old sperm WHALE which looks as if it burned from the inside out. I don't really know, if someone can look at the pic I'd like to know.
It is just a picture, the video is below that. The fishing destroyed, and now maybe the crops of the south?

Aliens??? I thought it was caused by the same North Korea submarine that sunk the South Korean was ship - who are, obviously. working in cahoots with the Iranians.  :confused
