The moon has risen in Montreal, ours just coming up now. The kids playing ball hockey on the street are going to be gapped out. It already looks like the night sun.

I seed it! It is indeed a super moon -- very bright. I'll go look again in a bit b/c I was dodging trees to see it this low. Too cold to stay out there long though. Look southeast.

Beautiful , beautiful moon. Mike gave me binoculars for christmas and I can see not quite the craters but so much it's awesome. Wish I had a high powered camera.

I was out in the park with a neighbour and our dogs waiting for it. There's a clear SW horizon perfect for watching it.

Thank you so much Toe!

I stepped out on my front balcony - it is an uncovered balcony, facing vaguely westward (though our geography is very skewed according to the axis of Mtl Island) on the top floor of a triplex. Perfectly clear view of the incredibly bright moon! It ia a very clear night.

Yes, it is chilly to stay out for long, but I'll take a look-at-moon break like smokers go out on the balcony for a puff.

Debra, I can't quite see the craters but I do see the so-called "face" - not something one often sees in a polluted major city.

I went to bed soon after viewing the moon thanks to Toedancer's reminder; I was exhausted after a rush of work. When I got up to pee in the middle of the night, although I wasn't fully awake I could sense the blue light bathing everything. The moon is still up, huge and brilliant.

I hope we get some really good photographs by professional photographers with proper cameras.

We went over to Gage Park yesterday, took in the last day of the flower show. Oh it was so gorgeous,  I miss flowers so much. I kept peeking into peoples gardens to see if I could see signs of life. Used to love doing that when I had my own gardens.

That place has saved my sanity more than once this winter Debra. Spencer is skeert to death of the xlarge koi  :)) And no dogs aren't really allowed to go in there, but I spend so much time over there I know when the caretaker has the place to himself to fix pumps and stuff. He blasts rocknroll while he's working and we meander all around the place.
While you were @ Gage I was @ the market after the wee rally and I bartered with a flower lady who was closing up her shop; I got a gigantic double bouquet of orange lilies for 9 bucks. They are just opening up!

The pics are bootiful!

Wonderful photos, Debra. I'm still kicking self for not having planted snowdrops b/c for sure they'd be up by now.

I've had one session of yanking back the hedge of dead nasties because they cover the corner where my clump of daffs are. Lo and behold, guess what is coming up? And the lonely little spot below my front steps, bordering on driveway, is showing just the beginnings of some of the tulips. There will be more in the front, tulips inherited from others, and some nice scillas (although in the wrong places) -- haven't checked them yet.

In the herb garden, two of three of the Debra Heritage chive plants are growing, still very small but determined. Not sure about the third. I think the sage is ok -- needs a trim of old growth, but there are new little leaves there already. Don't think the parsley has reseeded itself -- I don't expect that, although it's nice when it happens. The lavender is ok too, although very straggly -- not sure how to cut it back w/o killing it, but I don't want straggle. Otherwise, just a lot of open space for the annuals, like basil, parsley, etc. The rosemary is standing tall, but I think that's a dead tall. ;)

I see them bloomed everywhere on my walks skdadl, and with no snow, they seem xtra white. Last fall was the first time I didn't yank the nasties up, and now I see as long as I continue to plant the seeds where they cannot cover the lovlies underneath that you mention, I can simply shovel them under at the same time I plant the new seeds.

Before I go, here are some great worldwide pics of the March Moon

I'd love to see more if anyone finds.
