So I didn't Scarfs to the vet yest. I waited. Why? Because my very next door nabes said their cat (Buster) in his prime, had something last week that lasted 4 days and told me to wait another day before I took Scarf. Possibly some sort of feline infection (is it in the air?). They know I haven't much money as they. So I'm doing an all'nighter tonight. Exact same symptons. Scarf will drink water when I put it to him, but will not eat, more than 48 hours now. He drinks when I take it to him. He used the litter box tonight and then went back to his blankie.
The vet said to take him to the Animal Hospital, which would be about 70 bucks round trip, shit eh, not counting x-rays, blood tests etc., which I'm sure would be hundreds of dollars. Gawd I hate this. He's still purring from his purr box tho, which is comforting. If he is just as feeble in the a.m. I am taking him in.
Scarfie is only 16, almost 17, how do I tell the vet NO he has never had any shots in his entire life, don't do that. It could kill him now. Plus when I move he will be indoors from then on. This is a male cat who ran with the wolverines in his prime. I stay up and comfort him. HIs one blind eye looks totally bizarre right now, well both of his eyes do, but the blind one looks gone, whereas before it didn't look so bad.
A friend in Vancouver said 'but your moving and HE knows that', I almost hung up on him, so stupid. A sick cat is a sick cat, an old sick cat who knows more than we do about hisself is worse. G'nite.
