The NDP have asked us to sign the Petition from Open Media, which I did. Altho it doesn't demand anything, not amendments, just states the obvious. It currently has 117,243 sigs. http://stopspying.ca/

The Liberals have put out their own petition - with 1 amendment -
that any requirement by law enforcement to access personal subscriber information is which I refuse to sign. http://petition.liberal.ca/online-privacy-surveillance-lawful-access-bill-c30-liberal-amendment/
They go on with furthermore, again, it is so patently obvious that all major bills should be done in this way, I can't fathom why it even has to be asked. There is a huge divide between the zombies and the progressives. It is as huge a divide as climate change. One thing ferrsure is the contract between the gob and the people is broken. If they don't trust us, and think we're dishonest as they've suggested, then it is upon us to point out there is no longer a deal between us.(The Charter of Rights and Freedoms) Read their furthermore, which I believe is a given-despite Conbot manual tricks.

As suspected, Speaker Scheers has said the Anonymous vids constitutes a prima facie question of privilege against Toews. He suggests Toews next take it to the House affairs committee, altho how he expects any Anon to testify I have no idea.
http://m.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/ottawa-notebook/speaker-sides-with-toews-rules-hacker-group-anonymous-out-of-order/article2360185/?service=mobile

But what about Canadians who Toews accused of 'being with predatory pedophiles', I have a Point of Privilege Mr. Speaker! Well okay next is the vote, lets see how that plays out.

From the Dept of Not Quite Thinking it Through ...

I've pretty much given up monitoring the parliamentary committee meetings Kady doesn't cover because it's just depressing watching the Cons vote everything down that doesn't further speedy passage of their bills but today at Ethics was a hoot.

Remember how Del Mastro gave the Libs a week to cough up the names behind the Vast Liberal Conspiracy of staffer Adam Carroll's Vikileaks30 twitter account?
Week's up so off it went to committee for Del Mastro's motion to call him before committee for a grilling.
Glitch : Ethics Committee chair is Jean Crowder who threw it out - it's the wrong committee - but the Cons stupidly voted her down so it's being debated and she gets to allow debate to continue as long as she likes.
Charlie Angus notes that this will entail going through the whole Vikileaks correspondence about Toews and determining whether each line is true or not in order to decide how serious his crime was.
Del Mastro walked out; vote postponed til next meeting.

No. It was a fake EC card saying his poll had changed from one a 3 minute walk away to another a 15 minute drive away. It carried the EC logo and everything. Was addressed to his home but not his name. Plus other voters in the household but only one card came.

Thanks, I just listened to it now. Interesting features; the neighbour in his split house having a Liberal sign on the lawn; and he does not have a land line, so they probably could not find out his cell phone from his address. (Could they?) I wonder if the split neighbour also got a card or a phone call?

He's the Conservatives' worst nightmare; a person who votes regularly and so notices a change in the procedure, is politically aware, and follows the news. He said he didn't belong to a political party (I think); but he has written letters to the editor criticizing the Harper government:

http://www.insidehalton.com/insidehalton/article/435826

http://www.insidehalton.com/community/milton/article/998187

So he might have been targeted because of those, too; though they were not mentioned during the phone interview. (Possibly he is more involved in politics than he let on?)

It says here he's "a hazardous-waste technician":

Boy, I hope Elections Canada has the card he turned in, so they can check the phone number he said was different on that card.

If anyone should have the chance or misfortune to peruse those "royal-watching" glossy magazines (such as "Majesty", "Royalty", "Hello" etc) there is always a Marquess of such and such, member of the Royal Family, who is carefully tucked away in a mansion in Morocco, the Caribbean etc, where he shares his idle existence with a "long-term companion"...

O look Vic Toews gets his lawyer to get a court order to see who looked at his divorce file. Notice the last line in the article -  You can't go there under a mask.
http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/story/2012/03/07/mb-vikileaks-divorce-files.html

Toews wants the RCMP to figure out who gave up the information to Anonymous.
