This is what the monsters call saving lives. These monsters are hateful and this should be considered a Hate Crime Against Women.    Obama better come thru with a VETO!

Today the GOP-led House of Representatives, with the blessings and encouragement of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and extremist religious groups such as the Family Research Council, as well as 15 Democrats, passed a bill that would, among other things, allow doctors and hospitals to "exercise their conscience" by letting pregnant women facing emergency medical conditions die.

The only reason I say it doesn't ordinarily tie to Canada is because my bf is a social worker and she absolutely detests what's happening. Perhaps this story should be in the "Canal Drownings" thread, whatever. The point is case was closed. Threads everywhere, but none that discusses the accountability on Canada. Let Women Die? Yeah, I put it here because that's the state of Canada's social service laws.

She says she became a target, and that at one point an officer from the Vancouver Police Department told her — in front of others — that he was writing a story about Pickton in his head."He said, 'I have a fantasy about the ending, and it's about Pickton escaping from jail, stripping you naked, stringing you from a meat hook and gutting you like a pig,'" Galliford said. "And they actually started laughing and fist-tapping each other."
Galliford is currently on sick leave from the RCMP, saying years of harassment led to post-traumatic stress disorder and other psychological problems.
Galliford is scheduled to testify at the inquiry some time in 2012, when she says she will reveal more about the Pickton investigation.
