War on Women and the Poor/Fight Back
« on: March 13, 2012, 12:48:56 PM »
I looked and looked and couldn't find anywhere to place this. I've posted so many youtubes with American Women standing up for the blatant, fixated, obsessive need some right-wing batshit crazy American men have of systematically stripping women of every small victory they have made over the last 60 years. But this thread is also about the vast population who are impoverished and are made to feel like dogs for a hand up, and for stripping them of their freedoms. These repressive regimes (Obama/Harper et al) who feel threatened by women, pre-emptively I might add, need to be straightened out fast.

Oklahoma Legislators - Please Pee In The Cup!! 82-6 says you Have To!

Forcing parents to take a drug test is simply wrong and should be illegal, (violates the 4th Amendment)

Georgia is ready to pass the same bills and they are expected to pass. Georgians are fighting back, they want CEO's (if accepting Taxpayer Money) AND the Lawmakers to take the Pee Test as well!  :applause

The same bills in Florida are in hold-up right now.

On the contraception front, Women fight back.

Illinois lawmaker Kelly Cassidy writes amendment - Watch Film on Side Effects of V!

The amendment requires men to watch a graphic video about the side effects of Viagra, before they can get a prescription for the drug.State representative Kelly Cassidy (D-14th) says she's just adding some gender equality to the "Ultrasound Opportunity Act.""If they are serious about us not being able to make our own health care decisions, then I'm jsut as serious about them not being able to make theirs," said Rep. Cassidy. The amendment is in committee currently, and it is not yet attached to the ultrasound bill.  :applause

Missouri state rep Stacey Newman introduces legislation stating (tongue-in-cheek according to the media) that men receive Vascetomies only if their life depended on it.
http://house.mo.gov/billtracking/bills121/biltxt/intro/HB1853I.htm  which is similar to Georgia Senator Yasmin Neale's Bill which states - "In determining whether a vasectomy is necessary, no regard shall be made to the desire of a man to father children, his economic situation, his age, the number of children he is currently responsible for, or any danger to his wife or partner in the event a child is conceived," :applause http://www.ajc.com/news/georgia-government/abortion-bill-gaining-momentum-1357611.html

According to the abortion rights group the Guttmacher Institute, a whopping record-breaking 92 new abortion-restricting laws were passed in 2011. :o

Last but not least Ohio State lawmaker Nina Turner is introducing a Bill that men seeking Viagra be tested for heart problems and seek education on pursuing 'celibacy as a lifestyle choice'. Gawd Forbid Eh? You Go Nina!  :applause
http://www.daytondailynews.com/news/dayton-news/bill-introduced-to-regulate-mens-reproductive-health-1341547.html

Turner said on MSNBC Monday that the bill is about showing "men as much love in the reproductive health arena as they have shown us over the years. My Senate Bill 307 is all about the love and making sure we look out for men's sexual health."   :))

Let's regulate Menz Reproductive Health - Goose/Gander For Real Equality

P.S. I'm starting to think all of these less than human stripping of Women's Rights is to purposely keep them out of the business of Politics, because they might fight back. They might even try to keibosh the MIC, gawd forbid. Altho this thread is in the U.S. let's keep it open for Canada as well, after all we are the NAU now. We have many Gooses and not many Ganders as of yet.

I just viewed a video on Women and the GOP. It cannot be pasted, it cannot be anything.

Okay so one can't paste the video, and no comments are allowed on the vid.

We Women have a serious problem with you tube and the Repugs/Conservatives! This is fucking b.s.!

@ Daily Kos -  (might be a problem with my puter, dunno, but I can't copy/paste)

Motion M-312 will be considered by Parliament at the end of April 2012 and voted on in late spring or early fall. The motion poses a real danger to abortion rights, to the rights of all pregnant women, and to women’s equality rights in general. It is motivated solely by anti-abortion ideology. The intent is to bestow legal personhood on fetuses in order to re-criminalize abortion.
