Windy as all hell out here on the Prairies.  But warm enough.  Can't get over the growth in my garden.

April 1:  Our family was scheduled to go to the National Basketball League of Canada (our team is called Halifax Rainmen -- great team, great fun) All-Star game this afternoon. When my son (17) got up this morning, I said, "Did you hear the game has been cancelled? It seems that all the players have disappeared." He stared at me. "All of them?" "All of them. It's as if they vanished into thin air."  He was in utter shock for a short period, then the light went on. "Good one, Mum," he said.
 
After that, I turned on my computer and opened a couple of the webcams I look at every day -- lovely views of Halifax Harbour. Lo and behold, they were views that were completely unfamiliar to me.
 
And if you've looked at rabble.ca this morning . . .
 
Oh, April 1st. You can't fool me -- but I can still fool others. (The game was very entertaining, by the way.)

Yeah me too. But take heart Debra, while other fools make new years resolutions and don't keep them cuz their bodies/minds were still in hibernation, we know now is the time to make them. Hee.
My great friend has taken offshoots of M's flower tree, part of my white moon garden and totally organized every frikken box in the house. Opened up space, we took down all the drapes, unscrewed the rods, had a great brunch out, drank a Heinie with a wee splif. All is right in our world. There is no 'take a bow' smilie.

It's extremely windy here today. Up in my aerie, I had to double down on the stuff on the balcony. But it's also sunny and relatively mild.

We've had sunny and (almost) warm weather for the past few days, but today was snow, rain, and wind - we'll have sunny weather again on the weekend. The snow is going down fast - I think it'll all be gone in two weeks if the weather holds.

Fucking windstorm here today, too, gusts to 70kmph!  Everything's blowing around everywhere.  But it's 19c.  Oh it's so dry, it's frightening.  I'm going to end up watering my garden soon if we don't get rain. C'mon April showers!

I hope everyone here will have a happy Pascal holiday, and that there are some signs of spring and new life.

I'm having friends over for supper, to give me a kick in the backside to do some housecleaning. I have cleaned out a couple of drawers but I have to do horrid things like clean the WC today...

Awful weather coming here. Our Environment Canada forecast:
 
 Tonight: Becoming cloudy this evening. Snow mixed with ice pellets beginning overnight then changing to freezing rain before morning. Wind becoming northeast 20 km/h gusting to 40 this evening then increasing to 40 gusting to 70 after midnight. Low minus 1.   
 
Sunday:  Freezing rain changing to rain in the morning and ending early in the evening then cloudy. Wind northeast 60 km/h gusting to 90 becoming east 30 gusting to 50 early in the evening. High plus 4.

Four inches of the white stuff on the ground today.  It looks quite beautiful, actually, but I haven't stepped outside to check the temp.  I expect it will melt quickly.  My poor highbush cranberry is doubled over!
