I'm guilty of still hitting "reply all".  Certain groups of friends do it, we have long rambly conversations that way.  It's almost like chatting on MSN except more secret and harder for the boss to figure out what we're up to.  But then I forget and do the same thing to other groups of friends; they find it mildly annoying I think.  Once an email dunce, always an email dunce, I say.

I'm more likely to eat pizza or pasta while I work. Luckily, since I'm typing, my editors don't see it....    I think they'd use the "zzzzz" one for me the most, though. I'm always lengthier than I should be when writing policy.

This is silly, but I couldn't stop myself:

I know the text is too tiny to read here, but I didn't want to introduce side-scroll. You can go here to see the large-format.

This was gonna be a blog-post, but I didn't want to post a jokey thing right after the 9-yr-old-in-prison thing (honestly, I wouldn't dream of it!).

Still, I realize the Iran/Syria/Condi roadshow is today, March 10, so there's a bit of a shelf-life on my feeble humour.

The post title was going to be: "But will there be cake?"

...after the "evite," I was going to make an allusion to the key-shaped-cake that Reagan sent to Iran, back in the Iran-Contra days (see Time Magazine, 1986). I know that Ollie North insisted that the cake story was apocryphal, but I've read about it in so many places, it's too hard to shake-loose!  ;)

Sorry. Bad humour. But it has to go somewhere...

and I spent two hours making the evite

h/t to skdadl for the condiboots picture!

GDKitty, that is Wunderbra!  :D

Surely you can use it, no? It's admirable of you to be sensitive to the juxtaposition, but that sort of thing happens on other blogs often, I think. I mean, we just have to keep on keeping on -- what else can we do?

You've given it a few hours, at least. Go ahead and post today (and then I can link to you).

Nikita - this was posted before I discovered B'nR so I have not seen it - thus the delayed response.

I was on AOL for a while - visiting some "chat" rooms I found one called "The Philosophy Room". There were some interesting people there who had some good things to say so I 'hung' out there. (I was recovering from a medical procedure and had little else to do.)

Spinning off the 'room' were some personal threads of perhaps 15-18 people - they would discuss several topics .... (somewhat like the Hidey Places.) When I went back into the hospital for some more therapy, some members even called St. Mike's in Toronto from Florida to ask about my health. Even today, 4 years later I correspond with some of them.

Belonging to several of them meant, when you posted on a topic, asked a question, made a statement or asked for clairification you also posted an email to the other people. (They were a friendly bunch.) The 16 - 18 people.

One Saturday morning about 4:00 AM I commented on several topics, mouthy bastard that I am, and immediately got cut off AOL.

It seems that by sending out to so many people I had crossed some kind of un-mentioned line and went from being a normal eMailer - to a commercial eMailer. (All this was news to me - not mentioned in the agreed contract that I noticed   )

I managed to get back into AOL, they did not return any money that I noticed - even if the 'membership' was a gift from someone in the US. (Which complicated matters as they would not even talk to me, I was not the one paying.)
I was later cut off once again, and gave up on AOL.

Every time I hear of them losing a billion of so dollars, I chuckle, knowing why.
