I'd say "better late than never" but maybe it's posted too late to be funny.

There isn't a word about Condi in that BBC report. How odd.

I think it is a delightful post, GDKitty - thank you for that.  :D

It also illustrates a remarkable consistancy in American foreign policy - it may be devious, probably illegal and often silly, but consistant.

Thanks, gang!  I guess we shouldn't be surprised that the meeting was attended by C -list under-under-studies. The only names that I recognized were Khalilzad and al Maliki. The NY Times says that there were 10 U.S. reps at the meeting, but Khalilzad is the only one mentioned by name.

Damn my aging memory -- I'm gonna have to reconstruct this a bit -- but something like that happened to me a few months ago. It was my post about nefarious poisonings in London. Just btw, I had made a snarky comment about the habit of some English persons of referring to ethnic enclaves in their cities as, eg, Londongrad or Londonistan.

A couple of days later, pogge sends me a link to (I think) a publisher in Britain of a book I know I would not like, one of those glib fussers over immigrant failures to assimilate (a sort of English Irshad Manji). Whatever machines they have had picked up on the word Londonistan in my post, which was otherwise filled with Russians, Italians, the English, and a few Americans, but NO Central Asians. And there was my li'l post on their publicity site for this no-doubt dreadful book. Sheesh.

Cake is better. I'll bet you get a lot of hits for mentioning cake. :D

HA!

I've had that happen twice now.

Once my abortion post ended up as part of an ad for an anti abortion book and once my post on Plumbing the depths about Harper ended up on a plumbing site.
