if we go back to our old host and assuming that we have 12 people, and if we divide the year into thirds, then we would have 3 groups paying for one third of the year..... so group one would pay 40 dollars each in one shot or at the rate of 10 every month for four months, and that would be them done for the year. Then group two and so on.. that way the year is covered, no one has to spend big bucks and it is a smaller outlay over a shorter period per person.

I've contributed already, and will do so again, but I'll need some kind of certitude that the new webhost (or whatever it's called) won't shake us down for more bux later, and will provide excellent tech support. I'd hate to go through all this again six months or a year from now.

omegasphere isn't the shakedown type and for the most  part their tech support is good. Sometimes it takes a few hours for them to get back to you but I've been doing some background on them and everyone seems really happy with their service.

So I'm thinking that perhaps some of our difficulities were due to their server starting to screw up.

they don't require annual payment and they don't try to make you pay by credit card.

Which is another issue I'm having here since I don't have a credit card they are trying to get me to convince a member to use their credit card.    :?  Not happening!

So I guess maybe that decision is made, money is available and now we just need one of our tech gods/goddesses to volunteer to move us.

Fine with me but I'd like to know how soon you need the money.

well if we're moving I need the first month pretty much immediately so I can get the process started.

I'm hoping to hear from one of the techs because I don't want to pay too far in advance before we move but need things set up so we can. A fine balance.

Another thing:

As I wrote earlier I kind of cherish the idea that those who contribute financially do so in equal amounts.

But it would be silly not to accept contributions of less than that be it because people cannot or want not to pay more.

As Red [spl?] says, "we're in this all together".

First installment in the snail mail tomorrow Debra. Shouldn't take more than three days; hope this is in time.

Isn't it great how this got worked out?

Let me know when and I'll do the paypal thingie (just let me know the details again)
When you're on your own
When you're at a fork in the road
You don't know which way to go
There's too many signs and arrows
You haven't laughed in a while
When you can't even fake a smile
When you feel ashamed...
The uniform don't make you brave

I'm in too.  I'd prefer a lump sum one time payment, and I can have a cheque in the mail tomorrow, so just let me know how much.

Or, I can go read the other thread to find out.
