Ok I have googled this to no avail.

On the bus ride to Toronto today my friend pointed out these trees she has always admired.

They grow along the green areas of HWY401

They are medium height and have willow type leaves and shape.

Any suggestions what they might be?

Could they be Russian Olive trees, Elaegnus angustifolia?  They seem to be used frequently in urban and public areas since they are quite hardy.

I have been told they are Russian olives.  You know it's going to rain when the Russian Olives look silvery as the underside of their leaves show.
