What are you people going on about?

How 'bout them Bears?

(ok, don't hit   )

Is it true that there are two seasons in Canada - mid Summer and hockey?

But AE - the Bears are "4-0".

The Leafs, on the other hand, are celebrating the "40" years since they last won the Stanley Cup.

Different degrees of masochism there my friend...

Oh yeah, no comparison there although the Bears world championship wins were 1963 and 1985 in the modern era.

Maybe this will be the Leafs' year. Maybe.

Personally I haven't been to an NHL game since the Barons left Cleveland. and that was a looooonnnnnng time ago.

BTW ki'n are you a Wings fan as well?

We always considered them a bunch of goons and punks when they played Cleveland.

And now Hamilton might get the Penguins, which is good since Pittsburgh is NOT a hockey town no matter what anyone says.

AE-I am not without masochistic tendencies myself when it comes to hockey teams.  I'm not a Wing's fan but a St. Louis Blues fan (and they have never won the cup-ever). I used to fall asleep listening to them on the radio and they did make the playoffs every year up until last.  Practically everyone I know is Leaf fan.  I don't mind the Leafs but I feel that management is not going to make much effort to build a good team when the building is sold out night after night.

"Da Bears" have a fine team this year-it's nice to see them back.

ETA: Pittsburgh is a great sports town but football is tops (Steelers, NCAA, high school -it's a weekend long obsession).  The Pirates are supported when they have had winners but you are right about hockey.  It is waaay down the list, even though they've won Cups.   Hamilton would support them better (if the Leafs & Sabres allow the move).

I don't know if Debra is a Leafs fan. But I do know that she made ME moderator of this forum. That means I can persecute any and all Senator fans. Mwhahahaha.

Oh, man, you so don't want to be around when the Bikram proponents start mixing it up with the Hatha proponents. Gets real ugly. Mats flying around, incense tipped over. Ugly.

I can relate - that's exactly what they say about the Cubs.

But this is a hockey thread, sooooooo.

If the Leafs actually WON the cup, how would Toronto react? What kind of riot, if any, would there be. Its hard to riot without spilling the mocha lattes.

(ducking, seriously I love Toronto)
