Hello all, ye who are still in the middle of the night! (8 am here)... :bike

I bought a bunch of red gladiolas ... cheap here.

Hi lagatta! The red gladiolas sound lovely!  What do you have planned for the day?

I went for a walk to this nice market nearby http://www.dappermarkt.nl - but no more free time today, I'm typing up and collating readings in English, French and Castillian (Spanish).

Looks wonderful. Can you tell what those wrappy things in the top middle photo are? At first I thought they were flowers, but that's food, yes? I would like to make those, if only I knew what they were.

Nope, those are flowers - roses, I think - but they do have lots of wrappy things round here, with all the cultures in this neighbourhood.

Nep Wilders is a far-right, racist Dutch politician (I didn't know that - someone here informed me). But it is an actor dressed up as Wilders supposedly being attacked by a shopping bag-wielding old lady.

Good that the people doing such a neighbourhood site are having a bit of fun with it...

Not quite summer, but a summery day. Today is Montreal Museums Day - free admission to most of them - also shuttle buses that do circuits. I don't feel like spending such a beautiful day doing many, but will probably go to the McCord Museum of Canadian History for the exhibit "Conceal or Reveal" about those issues in dress (mostly womn's, of course, but not only) in different eras.
