Debra you could take your visual cues from the fetal rights people and the freakers (they had a very visually informative thread about anal warts, once   ) and make it very... graphic.

Don't know where you would find such a picture, but how about a just-gave-birth snapper?  Not a pretty sight.
Feel the fear and do it anyway

I like Toe's idea about pelvic thrusts.  Can the graphic have pelvic thrusts?

And a magnified stretch mark?

How about Save Lives! Regulate Pregnancy. Legislate Pregnancy could be mistaken as a pro-pregnancy slogan. :D

Pregnancy adds unwanted weight to stomach, hips & thighs; increases  size & width of feet; & has consequences which may last for thirty years or more!

This is pretty goofy and hysterical, all in good spirits.  However, I would be more comfortable with this spoof if we remain aware that there is a fine line between slamming pregnancy & motherhood, and ridiculizing the anti-choice criminalizers distorted view of women's reproductive health.  So I'm counting on our B'n'Rs who are currently in this ahem ... deplorable state, to tweak us if we go too far.

-------------------

Alright .... let the games begin!  I think that there should also be some cautionary tales about how heterosexuality is one of the dominant predicators of pregnancy, and that everything that promotes breeding should carry a warning label.  For example, all of Britney Spears 'music'.

Criminalize pregnancy. Canada is the only country in the world with complete unfettered access to pregnancy on demand. There are no laws at all on the books to regulate pregnancy.

In Canada, a woman of any age, even as young as 12 or younger, can become pregnant. There are no age restrictions whatsoever. And there is absolutely no requirement for parental consent. Every year, thousands of young women get pregnant. Without their parents' consent, or even knowledge in many cases. To add even more potential injury to these desperate young women, there is  absolutely no requirement for counselling of any kind.

Do they know what they are getting into? Without parental guidance, without professional, unbiased counselling?

Pregancy hurts women. We must act to save these selfish women from themselves.

Criminalize pregnancy now.

So, we need a disclaimer, then, deBeauxOs, is that it?  Something with a link to our real intention, like a Blog for Choice page, for example?  Would that help thicken the fine line?

Because I agree with you.  We need to honour that line.

And ya, this is fun!  But I've got an article that's not writing itself, so I'm off to help it along...

Maybe in the meantime, Debra, the title of this thread should be changed to let people know what it's about. Planning for Birth Pangs? Spoofing the Compulsory Pregnancy Gang?

Teee heee.  How about chastity belts for men .... so that none of that precious seed should go to waste.  Criminalize male masturbation too!  Isn't there some Biblical passage that specifically forbids such a crime against God, nature and country?
