Gee turns out a little socialism goes a long way FOR THE BANKS THAT IS. Those basturds were praising Canadian banking as the world standard to the high heavens on the world stage, force workers to work longer by 2 years and all the time they bailed out the banks!

It says support for Canadian banks from various agencies reached $114 billion at its peak. That works out to $3,400 for every man, woman and child in Canada, and also to seven per cent of Canada's gross domestic product in 2009.[/size] http://www.cbc.ca/news/business/story/2012/04/30/bank-bailout-ccpa.html

I can't be at the May Day protests tomorrow because of my bum leg, so am going to First Ont. Credit Union, where the Savings Rate is Higher than the TSFA! for online banks and for any Big Bank, fuck 'em! It's time for another Bank Dumping Day anyway.

Toe, you also started up a thread here about this issue: http://breadnroses.ca/community/index.php/topic,7388.0.html

It is fine to start up a new thread, but there are also some salient comments in the old one. I liked Antonia's about the spike in the cost of food - one could add other basic and scarcely compressible needs.

Boom Boom, yes, the old anarchist expression "Property is Theft" applies most strictly to banks, and speculators in general. And banks need bank robbers - without robbers, there would be no need for banks!

Ah, just so, I'll try and remember that.

For the love of Gawd, this Senator is a total disgrace and should be booted out! Aww poor man, a Life of Crime is in his future. What a jackass, comments closed, no f'ing wonder.

Senator Grant Mitchell, an Alberta Liberal appointed to the Senate in 2005 by Paul Martin, says he fears parliamentarians may start taking bribes if they have to pay for their own pensions.
