My thoughts to you and your family, Debra, and to you as well, transplant.  I'm sure your kitties were well loved, and loved you well in return.  *hug*

I love the Velveteen Rabbit.  Such a lovely book, and a lovely quote.

Oh gawd I was going to mention the talking,  I didn't cos I didn't want you to cry.

Yeah, I know what you mean, snif..., like every time I'd come in or let him in, just to say hello, or when ever he wanted to play or be brushed, and every morning when he'd jump up on the bed to tell me it was time for breakfast. He didn't yesterday, so I knew something was up.

Where did u get Sandy? I got Goldie from a wild Manx barncat.

He literally showed up one summer day and never left.  We asked around the neighborhood trying to find his  home, but he must have just liked our home better. Quite sometime later someone told me that they  had seen a poster about a missing manx on a pole several blocks away, but it was gone and he'd already settled in.

And Heywood, I think I know what you mean. Spooky but comforting at the same time.

Thanks again everyone.
Hope has met reality
