Leaders' Debates

Tonight at 6:30 CBC telly and radio. Anyone gonna watch/listen? There are probably going to be more than just this one.

Oy. I shouldn't watch these things. They all start talking over each other and my tension level shoots up and I start yelling at the telly.

I really hate Tory. And according to a bit I saw on PB by Cherniak, Hampton is fighting a cold. He's doing pretty well if that's so.

I never actually go to his blog, but I sometimes read bits on PB.

The debate is still on in the other room. Howard's voice is starting to crack a bit.

I need a(nother) drink.

I fell ASLEEP during the debate. I missed about 1/3 of it.

I couldn't help myself. First of all, it started at 6:30, which happened to be right after dinner. Plus, like Howie, I have some kinda cold so I was prolly doomed from the get-go.

Plus you were tuned in to Absolute McGuinty. No wonder you have a cold, much less that you fell asleep.

Och, I suppose I should go look to see what all the wonks have had to say overnight at PB.  *trudge trudge mutter mutter*

This is a question about the current Ottawa municipal election. It is in the "Leaders Debate" thread because one candidate for Mayor walked out of the debate because it was turning into the O'Brian/Watson show.

Can anyone explain anything to me about the duo of O'Brian/Watson - I have no use for O'Brian at all ..... but do not have a good feeling about Watson (is he not a Liberal - one problem to start with).

Is there anyone out there worth paying attention to?  :confused

I don't live in Ottawa, but based on my admittedly distant knowledge, I'd certainly be voting for Clive Doucet. But I'd like to hear from dBo and Vicky.

I have heard some good things about Mr. Doucet .... but there is as much chance of his winning as (to use a Quebec metaphor) a man has to have a baby.  8)
