What's the difference between NAC and SWC?

I thought that the National Action Committee on the Status of Women Canada (NAC) had become Status of Women Canada (SWC).

Then I find some web page about a dispute between Thobani of NAC and Fry of SWC and, ... I'm actually writing something now, and this is a small point, but I wonder if anyone could tell me what's up with this?

No, it's a big point. They are two totally different organizations and always have been.

Sorry, thwap -- I'm on the lam right now. But they have never been the same org. SWC is Cangov; NAC was an independent activist-advocacy group.
