Is it just as fattening to eat a large pizza in your dreams?  :p

So it all worked out perfectly and was much easier than the recipes seemed.

The souffles soufleed but were really not much to write home about. Just fancy mashed garlic mashed potatoes.

The lamb pesto, which was kinda weird sounding, made an INCREDIBLE sauce. I ended up having a few spoonfuls of it before putting it in the fridge. i have 8 chops left over, 2 souffles and some asparagus so an other friend is coming for leftovers and the debate on Tuesday

The souffles right out of the oven, with the uncarved lamb in the bg. That's the grill pan for the crab cakes on the right.

Never having cooked a rack of lamb before, I made way too much. So I have an entire rack left over plus 2 souffles which I am saving for tonight. Have some asparagus-orange salad left, plus I cooked some rapini last night. A strapping young male friend of mine is coming over to put my summer tires in my car so I can have them changed on Thursday. We will watch the debate together and eat and Tweet. (Me I am just looking forward to the sauce!!)

It's the first real twitter debate. looking forward to it.

Filled an omelette with La Bomba hot antipasto (didn't know I had such a thing, but I did) -- very exciting. ;)  #emergencylazyfood

I made a vaguely Southeast Asian curry (not very spicy) with a packaged spice mix from Bamboe Indonesian Foods; no chemicals, but some of those packets are VERY salty - this one was not too bad. I used boned grain-fed chicken legs (made some broth with the bones), sautéed small cubes of the chicken, as well as a sliced leek, a cut-up sweet potato, two Yukon Gold potatoes, several fresh "French" shallots finely minced, some added fresh ginger, added cardamom and some other spices I forget, a finely-slivered small sweet red pepper. Everything simmered for a while in coconut milk (a not very fatty variety) and some broth. Minced cilantro. It is very good, and was also cheap (I had most of the veg in the fridge).

You could also make this with tofu, or with fish/seafood, but either of those would be added just towards the end.
