Fund Raising for Site Costs 2008
« on: January 10, 2008, 12:06:03 PM »
We don't need to pay again till end of March, beginning of April, but I thought I would post this now to give a heads up.

Our site cost last year was 440US which cost us 519CN.

With the dollar still being fairly high, paying now would mean a cost of 446CN  a fairly significant savings.

If you are able to contribute, you can do so through the paypal button near the bottom of the page, or if you would rather send a cheque, PM me I will send you my address.

if ten people can send 40 bucks we're done.

Debra, I am still sorting a bunch of stuff out, but I will keep this top of mind. Or you could keep it top of my mind by bumping it every day.

I should be able to help out soon Debra. I finally had one of my invoices paid. I just need to get to the bank to sort out the Spain guy and then see what else I have to play with.

First off, is it necessary to be hosted in the US?

Secondly, for a relatively low traffic site, are there not cheaper hosting alternatives?

What are the hosting specifications of the site?
One struggle, many fronts.

it isn't hosted in the states it's hosted in Van.

He just bills in us dollars cause he also does business with americans.

Nope this is the best. These boards have too much traffic for other hosts.

We have tried others and so has Steve and nothing else has compared.

I'll second that.  None of the other providers Debra or I have been on have come close to the service provided here.

Is BnR hosted at the same place a s EnMasse? Who is the current host, and what are the main factors that make it the preferred one? Is is customer service, or specs?
