Urrgh.  Michel Fortier on Radio-Canada this morning.  What an oily, amoral, slick piece of work he is; he probably contributed a lot to the Cons dirty tricks operating manual.

ETA: He's a low-profile, Teflon-clad sycophant.  Couldn't find anything current about him.

Warning - that link goes to fawning Stephen Taylor's blog, who posted this link to a fan song about Harper, by Mashline girl who was Sandra Buckler's gofer or something.

I've been listening, not purposely, to the TV in the background as the SO watches CFL football and I swear I have heard Conservative ads at every break. They use the whole series, from soft daddy family man to cut throat attack Dion. I have yet to hear/see the other parties' ad on TV. There are lots of Canadians who don't follow politics anywhere near the degree we do and all they are getting is mostly biased media reports and this bombardment of CON ads. This just doesn't bode well at all.

I've been seeing a lot of Jack Layton on TV mocking Harper's "strong leadership"...

Thanks but it's a one-man spoof group for now, and he hasn't got a website up yet.

Impolitical has Today's Letter to the Editor:
Quote
Rather than governing well, Mr. Harper spent two years and millions in character assassinations and suing his opponents, including Elections Canada. Elections Canada ruled that Mr. Harper, 67 Conservative candidates, plus their financial agents violated election law. Mr. Harper says he is a law and order guy, but he did not play above board with our most fundamental institution—democratic elections.

Now, Mr. Harper is spending millions to tell us he is a man who loves his children. However, in public life he has proven he does not love the truth, does not think the law applies to him, and is utterly incompetent at managing a government.

How many anti-Harpo sites are out there? I mean really, I've lost count.
