I just saw the headline and my first thoughts were: "wow - impressive. I bet alisea is responsible for this."  :D

Such wonderful news, I was so happy to hear that at 6 am on CBC. Oh, I'm sure alisea had a hand in it.

Strange.  I started a thread on this very topic last night, complete with humour and sarcasm.  Somehow it has disappeared into the ether.  I 'think' I clicked it at the end...

Anyway, yay NDP.  Countdown until the first Chamber of Commerce or other business spokesmodel blaming the woes of the world on them....

I love how the partisan gang (Libs on PB) is concerned N.S. is going to go to hell any minute now. I heard an NDP person say culture won't change much during the 'recovery', because the Cons in N.S. are real and true PROGRESSIVE cons, (compared to the hillbillies in charge of the country). That was cute.

Aw, shucks. Thanks. I was but a cog in a very large set of wheels.

I have to say I was SO impressed by our campaign, the dedication, the discipline. Just ... wow.

No reason for NB to not be the next stop.

Sorry to be downbeat, but the NB NDP has a long way to go to match NS.  At this point I don't even see a roadmap.  Assuming the Babble discussions around the last NB election were not a complete fraud.

jroo ... I see from the Fredericton Gleaner that there is some spin off the NS victory. The story is ostensibly about how the Tories are now a bit ahead of the Liberals in a poll. (News that would make Gleaner headlines since the days of Brigadier Michael Wardell..) But the last few sentences mention the NB NDP.

Quote
The poll also shows that NDP support is up from 14 per cent in February to 21 per cent in June.

The survey shows 19 per cent of decided New Brunswickers polled think NDP Leader Roger Duguay would be the best premier, up from 10 per cent in February.

The Bristol Ominfacts analysis said some unhappy Liberal voters may be switching their support to the NDP.

The NDP may also be getting a boost from the party's win in Nova Scotia
, said the polling firm.

That's encouraging, but from the Babble descriptions they still have a HUGE amount of organizational work to do if they are to be truly viable at all.

Polls closed a bit ago in N.S. I don't keep up but I have noticed a lot of negative press towards the NDP and Dexter, not sure why, but let the voters decide.

If I recall correctly - and that's not a given - CBC said one of the two things he did was promise not to raise the HST - and went ahead and raised it anyway.

I forget what the second thing was.  :confused

Yes that's right Boom-Boom, HST and reducing the debt. Well Dexter has lost his seat as well. Incumbents can't lie in that province I see.
