Bravo, Turkey!

It will mean a lot of citizen actions in other Med countries, but of course the EU has the "Olive Zone" by the proverbial short and curlies...

Oh look:
Quote
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office released on Friday a statement regarding Foreign Minister Avidgor Lieberman's "plan" to take retaliatory steps against Turkey.

According to a report in Yedioth Ahronoth, Lieberman assembled a team in charge of retaliating against Turkey. According to the report, the team recommended to Lieberman that Israel should cooperate with the terrorist organization PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party) and even consider supplying it with weapons. Another suggestion was to offer assistance to the Armenians and file UN reports against Turkey for violating human rights of Turkey's minorities.
Charming fellow.

Wow taking on a life of it's own, this merger talk. Perhaps it's the anti-PR folks who are promoting it?

via a Gazan friend's Facebook status, quoting the editor of the Palestine Chronicle:

Quote
Egyptian protesters just entered the Israeli embassy in Cairo; thousands of papers are flying everywhere. Per the rules of the 'new Middle East' Great Game, Egypt will likely to seriously downgrade or completely break ties with Israel soon. Me thinks, Turkish PM's visit to Egypt next month shall prove very important.

Jeebus walk like an Egyptian carries on with military firing live rounds into the air. Over 500 injured so far. Is this about an apology from Bibi or is this about military still oppressing the Egyptian people or both and more.

Who is on the street gathering up all those flying docs/papers?

Once again...

Israel attacks the Estelle in International Waters
Kidnaps Parliamentarians and activists

for immediate release

Montreal, 20121020-04h30
Shortly after 4:00AM EDT when the Estelle was in international waters approx. 17 Nautical Miles north of Arish, Egypt (as per the last coordinates we have) Israeli war ships surrounded it and the assault on the peaceful ship started.

Communications were lost at that time and all reports we got from the ship were choppy.

Among others, the following individuals were on board:
Former Member of Parliament Manly James, Canada
Member of Parliament Hagen Aksel, Norway
Member of Parliament Britton Sven, Sweden
Member of Parliament Kodelas Dimitios, Greece
Member of Parliament Sixto Ricardo, Spain
Member of Parliament Diamantopoulos  Evangelos, Greece

See Jim Manly's pre-recorded video message: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8egYBdf-Zo

Just saw on CBC: That piece of crap Netanyahu just issued a press release claiming there is no humanitarian crisis in Gaza, and that if the people on this boat want to help, they should go to Syria, and that Israel will always act to protect her borders.  :mad2
