Thanks for all the good wishes. You're helping me feel more confident. :grouphug

Debra, as shitty as this whole thing will be, you *will* come out the other side.  You always do  :hug

I'm so sorry you're having to deal with all of this and it's all happening so fast.  But I'm also very relieved they moved-up the date!!

Looking at your surgeon's website @Mac, it looks like she has published a lot about laparascopic hysterectomies. I hope that means she's the local super-star in minimizing painful recoveries.  You deserve the top ace  8)

Not being one to spend a lot of time gazing at my reflection in a mirror it was the repeated question of: "Who smacked you?" that inspired me to gaze at my reflection in a mirror.  :o

My left eye is no end of red - and in the past few days has become something of a nuisance being eternally itchy. This does not mention that piles of disgusting crud that i have to remove in order to see in the mornings.  8)

I was busy with work for the last few days of last week, but today (Monday) I shall off to the local sawbones for some relief.

Thinking of you this weekend, Debra, oh Fearless Leader. I'm guessing that you're preparing for Wednesday. *hugs*

Today will probably be the last day I post until after the surgery. Tomorrow is bowel prep day which is likely to be as awful as it sounds, then Wed. is the big event. Surgery is at 8am, have to be there at 6am.

I'm not allowed a laptop or cell at the hospital, but will get Mike to post Wed. and let you know how it went.

I'm trying to keep a positive outlook but every so often delve into panic.

Well, I'd panic too - it is a normal human reaction. But I'm so glad they aren't keeping you waiting for months on end. No shame in Demerol, or any tranq that doesn't interfere with your  surgical prep.

Debra, I have a couple of new wee chive plants, which I will plant either later tonight or tomorrow morning. The great thing about teh chive plants, unlike most of my herbs, is that they are perennial -- they will come back (and I think that's true even of plants dug in this late).

So I shall name them Debra's chives, and I will be thinking of you as I pat them down and wish them new life after brief trauma. *hugs*
