Can we put the fuckers behind bars now? Pls. sign.
http://www.avaaz.org/en/bankers_behind_bars_f/?bggBlcb&v=15952

The full scale of the scandal is still unknown, but what we know is breathtaking: "Several" unnamed major banks were involved, and the rigging of the LIBOR interest rate, the rate on which many of the world's interest rates are based, affected the value of literally hundreds of dollars in investments. Barclays alone has admitted to committing this fraud "hundreds" of times. For too long, our governments have been cowed by powerful banks who threatened to move elsewhere if challenged. For too long, banks have manipulated our market economies, tilting the playing field in their favour, and engaging in reckless risk-taking, secure in the knowledge that they could force governments to hand them our taxpayer money when they got into trouble. The system is rigged, and that's a crime. It's time to put the criminals behind bars for it. It starts in Europe -- let's make it happen:

Media is not covering huge protests in Mexico, media is not covering Spain either.

One of the biggest broadcasters in the USA (CNN) and the biggest broadcaster in Canada (CBC) each have coverage this week of both the Mexico and Spain protests. I know - I watched them. I go back and forth between CBC and CNN every suppertime.

The protests in Spain were on The National tonight, as well as a segment showing the president saying he had to reverse course and institute austerity.

Mexico's protest was also covered today by the CBC. Here's one story out of several on the CBC website using the search feature, which includes a five part series on the drug cartel: Mexico election results to face court challenges

CNN has this: Dozens hurt as police, anti-austerity protesters clash in Spain

and this:  Vote-buying allegations persist after Mexican election

and this: (photos)
Thousands of protesters take to the streets in Mexico City on Monday, a day after the presidential election results were announced. Supporters of the opposition candidate were rallying against Enrique Peña Nieto, who declared victory late Sunday.

Where there hasn't been any media reporting that I am aware of  is in the forced removal of indigenous peoples by the military from  Belo Monte, which is Brazil's equivalent of our Tar Sands. I'm getting my information on this from Facebook.

Re-reading the article about Golden Dawn/Greece nobody is saying it, but I think this is what post-democracy looks like. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2012/sep/28/greek-police-victims-neo-nazi

Greece unblocked a subsidy of 28.9 million euros ($37.2 million) for the construction of an international-standard racetrack that can be used for staging Formula One car racing, theMinistry of Development said.

That's German Money, the Germans must be fucking thrilled, prolly have ticker tape parades and everything!

A small group (figures vary between 100-250) of shipyard workers Stormed the Defence Ministry in Greece  :o
They haven't been paid in 6 months  :o  The Defence Mty says but we don't pay you, what r u doing here? Fucking Duh! France and Germany have consistently said don't cancel our lucrative arms dealings and therefore the arms dealing is somehow exempt, Portugal has a similar 'condition'.

Video -http://rt.com/news/police-workers-shipyard-defense-646/

This has scared the bejeesus out of the PTB or should I say puppet poli's of the EU, IMF etc. The Greek PM is now worried Democracy is on the edge of collapse and the Golden Party style fascism is rising. Well duh.
Merkel is visiting on Tuesday, apparently to offer some ________?  The opposition parties and trade unions vowed a Baptism by Fire for her arrival.

Wow, things are unravelling when the rich corrupt politicians of Greece are being targeted, but by whom. There is a list, it's called the Lagarde List, with almost 2,000 names on it. The two dead were involved with skimming off millions from Defense Contracts, evading taxes and putting their ill-gotten gains in Swiss bank accounts. Some Greek blogs rumour that Lagarde herself is on the list. Who knows what this 'corruption probe' will reveal. As an aside, have you ever wondered how Lagarde is always suntanned?

http://www.businessinsider.com/greek-men-on-lagarde-list-found-dead-2012-10

That made me wonder what the Swiss are up to knowing this list is out there., and I came across an article that discuses the Swiss had a military exercise in September, gearing up for mass unrest in Europe, immigration etc.

The Swiss are apparently gearing up for the possibility of major civil unrest throughout Europe. It's difficult to say for sure, whether Swiss officials really see an increased threat or whether this is just an expansion of the Swiss state, an expansion typical of most governments these days, who will attempt to create fear in any way possible to grow the state. Here's Schindler:

While Europe is in chaos and turmoil with millions protesting Austerity (even in Brussels)  the LeGarde List is still not being used by the gov't to investigate the almost $2Billion sitting in Switzerland, only a journalist has been charged for publishing it, he was acquitted, but the prosecutors didn't like that so they are Re-Trying the journo in a Higher Misdemeanours Court. The tax evaders are being protected like never before and like never before Europe is being raped by the EU MAFIA.

Retrial for journo - http://www.ft.com/intl/cms/s/0/ade132b8-3003-11e2-891b-00144feabdc0.html#axzz2DSDB2WvW

In Brussels - Demonstrators sprayed the European Parliament building with about 15,000 liters of milk and set off various types of fire crackers.
When protesters tried to enter the courtyard of the European Parliament building, police had to use water cannons and tear gas to disperse the crowds.  http://rt.com/news/dairy-european-policies-brussels-646/  The Farmers did this in 2010 as well, nothing has changed.

Guess what the EU MAFIA is doing while the protests by desperate people get more violent? Building themselves new headquarters for the European Central Bank, twin towers in fact, the cost? It's now reached $1.2 Billion Euros. How do they justify this massive fraud on the people? They don't. Preaching austerity is so much easier. The banks EASY button only applies to the crooks, politicians and the troika.

Here's a reality check, how some Americans behave on Black Friday. And that's just over iPhones.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=nDpAkjD3wXo

I wouldn't trust one of them not to kill me for food. The world has gone mad and those who suffer from the worst mental illnesses are in charge. Does anyone, other than those in the Black Friday video, not know what is happening?

One week before Thanksgiving, there was an apparent computer 'glitch' that wouldn't let Americans who rely on food stamps to use them. Altho somehow the 'glitch' didn't effect debit or credit card holders.
Millions of food stamp recipients in 10 states were unable to use their debit cards for about six hours Friday after anoutage at JPMorgan Chase. http://connecticut.cbslocal.com/2012/11/16/computer-goes-down-food-stamp-debit-cards-currently-not-accessible/
Another computer 'glitch', this time with the FBI criminal check for record breaking gun sales. The FBI fielded 154,873 calls, a roughly 20 percent increase from last year’s previous one-day record of 129,166, according to bureau records. http://www.wnd.com/2012/11/record-breaking-gun-sales-on-black-friday/?cat_orig=money
Glitches happen, sure is a handy way to slow things down tho. I think the worst is still to come, gee can't wait for December.

The Mafia-Troika of Cyprus - Capital Controls to stop bank runs. I feel so sorry for anyone in the EU.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2013/mar/22/eurozone-crisis-cyprus-bailout-russia-vote

As Europe wakes up to what could be a tumultuous being fucked over day, ECB has decided that, due to the "great danger" of a bank run once they reopen next week, it will enforce capital controls independently of Cypriot (elected) officials. With perhaps a nod towards negotiating some ELA funding for Cypriot banks next week (if the government accepts this ECB-enforced 'program'), the rather stunning restrictions on people's private property include:
Freezing Savings - no time-frame (it's not your money anymore)
Make bank transfers dependent on Central Bank approval (a money tzar?)
Lower ATM withdrawal limits (spend it how we say?)
The capital controls will be designed "so that citizens have access to sufficient cash to go about their lives." So, there it is, a European Union imposed decision on just how much money each Cypriot can spend per day.

Britain's welfare reforms has the food banks begging for money because after April 1 the reforms begin. I read the comments and was deeply disturbed that the people are arguing with each other, calling each other names, disparaging etc., w/o a clue as to how manipulated they've been. They would prefer to blame each other than those in power who make these draconian decisions. The stupid edge of the cliff has been reached by so many countries.

I think it was in the Guardian that it talked about social assistance is now being doled out on fixed credit cards in the UK and only valid at certain supermarkets. All part of the conservative mantra that the poor are laggards who are too lazy to look for a job and would rather spend any money they have on booze and ciggies. I've been hearing such bullsh*t since the 70s and it doesn't explain why food banks are a permanent fixture in our society. Is there some genetic laggard gene and that class of folks have been overpopulating society [full sarcasm mode]? It's like these governments are domestic abusers of the poor and hope that battered spouse syndrome will set in and permanently shut them up from ever demanding anything, including basic dignity and human rights.
