Here's an article in the Jewish-focused neocon magazine, Commentary, on the Israeli fear of a nuclear Iran: (link to the second page of the article)
    In this way, Iran could end the Jewish state without ever pressing the button.

It's a terrible admission.  Essentially, it doesn't matter whether Iran's rulers are rational or not---whether they would actually be so crazy as to use the bomb.  It merely matters that they have it.  What else must Israel's neighbours not have, then, for Israelis and supporters of Israel abroad to feel safe?  And why would any of Israel's neighbours have any real incentive whatsoever to accept Israel's place in the Middle East if it's the case that, in so doing, they must make the guarantee that they will remain Israel's inferior?
