Wow, she's even prettier than I imagined. Queen over all she surveys, as Crogh used to say. Here in Quebec, we call those calico kitties "chattes d'Espagne" for some reason.

La Beauté!!! Thanks to all of us who helped locate her and rescue her, and so much to Mattt and his sweetie.

She is sort of calico and sort of tortie, and those white gloves!

For those of us who believe in an Up High, or even like to imagine one, Croghan is certainly looking down with pleasure about that, and waiting to meet her someday at the Rainbow Bridge.

The latter is a sappy image created by animal-lovers who can't abide the thought of a heaven without their beloved beasties. I think that the idea that my cats wouldn't be there for me when I died was a factor in becoming a steadfast atheist. What kind of heaven is a heaven without my dearest friends?

I suspect there is a heaven for pets.  Perhaps not for us though.

If there is I'm sure croggie is in it.  I'm stunned to read that this has happened.

I think Queenie's new companions are connected to one of my colleagues in the writingsphere...

I hope that Caissa at least will be able to be on hand.

I won't be able to make it to the cemetery service this afternoon. We drive by that cememtery with regularity and have several friends buried there. I shan't drive by it again without thinking about Rod.
