Another swarming
« on: August 02, 2006, 03:36:17 PM »
Some of you may remember a couple of years back one of my boys was swarmed and beaten pretty badly and the cops would do nothing.

Well last night his brother had the same thing happen. He just came to borrow gas money to drive himself down to Oshawa General cause our stupid hospital doesn't have enough equipment.

They have so far diagnosed a fractured top jawbone, and two breaks in his orbital bone his eye muscle is lying in such a way that a jar will blind him for life.

Will he go to the cops? no. A) because they did fuck all for his brother. B) because his girlfriend is pregnant and he doesn't want said fuckheads going after her.

And to think one of the reasons we didn't go back to Toronto was because we feared the violence!

Och, Debra, I am sorry to hear this.

What kind of police force is it that you cannot go to them and lay a straightforward complaint?

And my heart aches for your boy, driving himself all that way. Does he have anyone with him, if only to provide moral support?

his girlfriend went with him, but she can't drive. I hope he makes it ok.

Oh my lord Debra. That is despicable. But should not a police report be made anyway. Something must be on paper in case of future attacks.

Im so sorry to hear thos Debra. I hope he gets through this fine and I agree with Toe that a police report should be done no matter what
When you're on your own
When you're at a fork in the road
You don't know which way to go
There's too many signs and arrows
You haven't laughed in a while

When you feel ashamed...
The uniform don't make you brave

Give him my sympathies.  Swarming has to be one of the most cowardly of all the "tough guy" schticks.

That's disgusting. I can scarcely imagine trying to drive with a broken jaw! And the cops not doing anything?  :x

Best wishes to your boy, Debra, and a pox on those cowards who did this.

I'm truly sorry to hear this Debra and I send your son my best wishes. I hope he'll recover fully and also will get his eyesight back.

I think (like it has been suggested) a police report should be made. Then again, they might just be cowardly enough to attack his friend.

It stinks.

That really is awful. I hope he's okay. :(

Uhm, what the holy hell is wrong with people? Is this a common occurence and somehow only select incidents make it into the news?  What do the fuckers want?

And what's with the cops?  They do nothing?  I'm sorry, what are they being paid for?  And he drove himself to the hospital?  Are there no ambulances?

This is just mindboggling.  Let us know how he's doing.

It is actually a fairly common occurance and only if the victim is from money do the cops give a shit, any other time they just say it's about drugs. They're all about the drugs here.

You only get an ambulance if you are elderly or near death.

It is a rather screwed up place to live.

When my other son got swarmed they said he agreed to the fight. Yes my son the geek agreed to fight 7 other guys all at the same time.

Yet a few weeks before that someone from the money side of town had a bike stolen, my other son had spoken with the kid who stole it in passing and although both the perpetrator and his accomplice said he had nothing to do with the cops charged him anyway. The crown was red as beet and extremely apologetic when he saw the report.

As I've said before it is like Georgia north here. Racism, anit immigrant, low levels of education, lots of teen pregnancy, right wing extremism... why do I stay? because I can't afford to leave and I don't have a vehicle to live in while I try to get settled somewhere else.
